Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student will create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each discussion. The thread must be at least 400 words and demonstrate a comprehension of the corresponding course reading. In addition to the thread, the student will reply to the threads of at least 2 classmates. Using the Finzel textbook, the student will complete a series of assignments based on a provided template to examine specific Bible passages. (MLOs: A, B, C, D)
Methodical Bible Study Assignment
Using the Finzel textbook and the skills practiced in the Unlocking the Scriptures Project, the student will complete a Methodical Bible Study Assignment. The student will use the provided template to examine specific Bible passages. (MLOs: A, B, C, D)
Specialized Study Assignment
Using the Finzel textbook and the three components of a Methodical Bible Study, the student will complete a specialized study assignment. The student will use the provided template to complete a keyword study or a biographical study. (MLOs: A, B, C, D)
Total Quizzes (3)
Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the module: week in which it is assigned, along with the preceding module: week or modules: weeks since any prior quizzes. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 30 multiple-choice and true/false questions, and have a time limit of 50 minutes. The student will be allowed 2 attempts, and the highest score will count toward his or her grade. (MLOs: A, B, C, D)
