Course Description
This course provides an in-depth analysis of the history, development, and organizational structures of the agencies that govern amateur and professional sports. Initial and continuing eligibility, major governance areas, and current issues requiring policy revisions will be examined.

Rationale
Coaches and athletic administrators must have a clear understanding of policy development and implementation in order to effectively manage their programs. Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided prompt for the discussion.
